Went to Cambodia in 2019 for my 50th, absolutely fell in love with the country and the people. We stayed in Kampot, Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. If you get the chance, go to Ann restaurant on the corner of Preah Trasak Paem St. (63) and Jayavarman 7 street (172) Phnom Penh 12000. Absolutely delicious food and lovely people most meals around $2.50 - $3.50, cooked fresh and served hot.. If I ever got my wish of retiring in Cambodia, this would be my breakfast, lunch and dinner hang out..

My restaurant I eat at 95% of the time is Restaurant 72 on the corner of streets 123 and 454 I leave home every night at 6pm takes me 40 minutes each way this is my daily exercise. My meals are $3 My budget per day on everything from breakfast, lunch and dinner is $6 .per day most days I have change left . I'm an Australian Guy lived in Phnom Penh Cambodia for 18 years. I rent my home out in Australia 🇦🇺 and what I get for 1 weeks rent is what I spend in 1 month in Phnom Penh Cambodia including my rent , electricity water , meals , and all the other everyday things like house hold items . My air conditioning goes 10/12 hours a day my electricity bill is on average ($42) my LPG gas $12 every two months , Rooftop swimming pool and gym, cable TV, Netflix, 24/7 security personnel, underground parking, elevator, 2 balconies overlooking Phnom Penh city . My rent per month is $400 . Good luck 👍 You may return one day to Cambodia. Since covid19 ended tens of thousands of British, USA Citizens, Australian and New Zealanders have retired in Cambodia, far too expensive they rent their homes out :or on the aged pension

PLEASE NOTE UPDATED 20/12/2022 BECAUSE OF THE LOW WATER LEVEL IN THE MEKONG RIVER THIS FLOATATION RESTAURANT IS ALMOST SITTING ON THE DRY RIVERBED. BY JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2023 WILL BE PROBABLY SITTING ON THE DRY RIVERBED .
