Great video! Thank you for the demonstrations! If a patient reports blur at distance for base-in (BI) ranges, it likely indicates they were over-minused. BI prism displaces the foveal image nasally, stimulating divergence. Since blur is associated with accommodative changes, if they experience blur, it suggests they were likely over-minused and were attempting to promote divergence by relaxing their focusing system. If they were emmetropic (not over-minused), then the focusing system should already be relaxed.

Just want to ask what chart are you using for the distance. Prismatic eyes testing seldom exercise in most optometrist refraction in our place only when patients having focusing problem. nice to see the new technic to get the in/out and left/right base.

I have a question... When would someone actually have this test performed? I don't recall ever going through this procedure despite having short sight and a lazy eye.
