This is not a Benaras Gharana Uthan.....this is part of core Farukabad repertoire. Ustad Keramatullah, Pandit Shankar Ghosh, Sabir Khan used to play this quite regularly. Benaras gharana uthan will have a lot of open sounds.

Shankar ghosh and keramat khan saheb mostly played uthan with benaras ang..

@@rupsahadoyenofclassicalmus9933 this is not benaras uthan. Farukhabad and Benaras have same origin and that is Lukhnow. Because of that both gharana's uthan is quite simmilar. But in Benaras uthan there is more open sounds and 'Chatis' like pakhawaj.

This is not even a 'uthan' because this is not a fixed composition . This is 'Upaj-ang' composition.

pandit ji is playing benaras uthan :) instead of something from farukhabaad.. this shows the immensity of indian music

@@deepranjanghosh1851 This is uthan for sure, but might not be the benaras baaz style ... thats very open baya style. This in my mind seems to be Lukhnow uthan ... cause best that I know Farrukabad goes by peshkar and not uthans ...
