Good people doing good things. That should be something to celebrate. Nice to see a well run company produce a USA made product. Nice work all. congrats on the new amp Pete. I'd love to own one, but it's not going to happen at this point. But should I need another amp. This is the one for sure.

This may be long winded so bear with me. History, whether it’s politics, social, arts or whatever, plays a huge role in letting us know whether we are moving forward in a better direction or a worse one. When you guys were talking about using modeling amps and tweaking forever just to find that it didn’t sound great was very telling. The key part for me was when you said that after you tweaked the modeler and thought you had a great sound you listened to a reference song with great tone and realized you weren’t even close. That is so critical to me. Without referencing history (Ie: the reference tone) you wouldn’t know you’re going the wrong way. I think Suhr is one of the very few companies that is forward thinking in the right direction. So many players cite older albums for their tone references (like VH 1 or Led Zeppelin or ZZ Top’s early stuff) so it makes sense that you wouldn’t want an amp with a bunch of unnecessary junk in it. The big challenge these days for most working guitarists is volume. Being able to get classic tone without killing everyone is the goal, I think. Versatility is also a nice addition. The PT15 IR seems to do both of those things and, to me, is a ground breaking concept in a “real world” format. So, my rambling was just my verbose way of saying “well done”!

Am torn between getting the PT 100 or the pt15 Whats the difference tone wise? Someone told me that the heated tubes can have a negative impact on the digital IR over time- because of the heat from the tubes. Basically i will be using it mainly for recording, and maybe occasional gigs, so watts really dont matter to me except the weight of the pt100 i know is super heavy!! One advantage i see is the IR, but going for the pt15 would i loose out on the nice big and deep tone of the Pt100? Or would i get the exact tone of the pt100 on the 15? So just wondering which one must i get.

Instead of building just an image like many Signature models of things, you guys are building new, great, and useful tools of the trade... that look good too.

Hmm, the only thing it's missing is a 9v pedal power supply. Ummm, with a clip to mount a pedal for the FX loop. Yeah! . . . Just kidding. LOL

This thing killer. You’d expect no less from Suhr and Thorn. But is it loud enough on its own to use in a rock band live with no monitors? Sometimes you get a crap sound guy.

After seeing this again, I guess the point is that you can get great tube amp sounds for smaller rooms like bedrooms and run direct for gigs and whatnot. What a killer little toolkit. IR presets that can be pulled up per channel. What a time to be a guitar player.

Robert Twiddy it’s because of the load/ir tech in there. Suhr Reactive IR is a couple hundreds on it’s own
