Watching a midnight screening of 'The Master' in an empty theater near Northwestern University was probably the greatest movie-going experience I'll ever have. Thanks, PTA and Phil.

I wish Phil got help. He was just damn likable and always played great characters. There was no pretense about him. Loved him in pirate radio and almost famous.

Oh, and y'all know he probably would have been Doc's lawyer in Vice if he hadn't left us too soon. NOTHING against BDT, I'm not hating on him. Love him too, but I bet PTA would have given Phil that role.

Anderson's original title was 'Sydney', but the studio changed it to 'Hard Eight' without his consent.

i did my research afterwards kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pLeWp9qimJqtl3k.html at 4:43 he explains the studio asked him to change the name to Hard Eight and they would let him send the directors cut to a festival.

jack Black was originally supposed to play Scotty J in Boogie Nights. a good role for Jack. but it's Phil that nails it.
