13 жыл бұрынPTC #6 was built in 1905 for Elitch Gardens in Denver. It is the only surviving PTC menagerie carousel and the only one left with its Wurlitzer Monster Military Band organ. All the animals were carved by hand. It was purchased by Kit Carson County in 1928 for $1200 and is now probably the most valuable thing in the county.

This is one of the most beautiful machines PTC ever carved. All of the animals and horses are stationary, meaning there was no jumping mechanism to make the animals and horses go up and down. The detail work on these animals are terrific. Look at the giraffe and there is a snake wrapped around it's neck with a monkey "screeching" below on the back of the saddle.

Looks older than Flying Horses in Oak Bluffs even though this one is younger
