***There is an error on question 77. The Rx directions for the question should read:

I just want to say THANK YOU because I did not pass the test the first time because I hadn’t discovered you yet. I ran out of time due to my anxiety the 2nd time but I failed by 2 points (thanks to your help). I took the test again (3rd time is really a charm) I found out yesterday I PASSED. It was my second try taking. First time was last year, I went a textbook route from Amazon and the info was just not sticking to me. I just watched the PTCB exam practice test 1. I really appreciate the way you explain all the answers and the step by step instructions with the math problems. I was a bit confused on question 77. Question 12, I did it a lil different. I took 100x2 =200 Then I took the 67x2.5 and 33x1 and added and it should equal (100x2)

@@art.bae.hannah8196 Definitely know the medications she goes over in her videos (generic and brand) and what they do. A good portion of the test is about medications so make sure you do well on that section or you may not pass (along with this is med interactions which i had a good amount of questions of). If you struggle with the medication portion of it you can make it up with the math problems and the common pharmacy laws and general pharmacy knowledge that was on it such as NDC numbers, sig codes, dosage forms, etc. All of the math that I had was pretty much explained in amandas videos so if you know how to do those you should be perfect on that portion. For pharmacy laws just know about the most common ones (durham-humphrey amendment, kefauver-harris amendment, poison prevention packaging act, etc. Honestly if you feel like you understand her videos pretty well you should be good to pass. I spent about 2 weeks studying her videos and a couple of other sources off and on and did well! So if you are studying months in advance you definitely got this!

Hi all!! I just took my exam last week and I passed YAYY. I live in south Florida. I studied using the PTCE bank and 2 books the PTCB simplified( best recommended) and PTCB hero and Amanda videos. My difficult level was Math and guess what… …around 5-6 questions were Math 🙏. I got the surprise that the exam was different from mostly I studied but using the “common sense” helped me a lot. Mainly you have to memorize drug brands- generic as most as possible(diabetics drug was top notch) be familiar with side effects of the drug class and interactions, controlled substances (everything), pharm tech functions and laws as REMS and ISMP, look alike drugs, Refrigerated drugs and stability was asked. I had a couple questions about vaccines too. Meanwhile, yours can be different to mine exam I’m sharing my experience. Good luck to everyone!!!

I’ve been watching repeatedly all of your study videos and some other online ptcb lesson. No ref. from book just youtube and online search. THANK YOU SO MUCH AMANDA! May Godbless you. I just took the exam a while ago it’s my first try and the preliminary result is pass, but it says on the print out paper from testing center is unofficial, is there a possibility to change the result after 1-3weeks of waiting the official result? @@kmtthuynh3784 I mainly studied through this channel and PTCB Exam Prep channel. They are very helpful. I also did a lot of practice questions on Medicalhero. I passed for the first time.

@@tineh9724 hello , I did not go to school for pharmacy tech. I started working at cvs pharmacy as a pharmacy tech in training and I had 2 years to get certified. I actually only used this video and of course hand on training and knowledge learned from working in the pharmacy as a trainee.

I failed my exam today 😔 I studied from the PTCB website and here. The test was a lot of medication and knowing not only the use generic to brand name but how it’s stored and what to write on the label of the bottle..

Hi Amanda, your videos are great! I did catch a mistake however - on question #77 the total number of tablets adds up to 31 because the last part of the sig reads 1qdx1, not 1qdx2. So it reads 1 tablet every day for 1 day. Just thought you’d want to know in case there is a way to correct it.
