Climate is probably one reason, their lack of animals helps also. Couldn’t be done here in Canada I imagine because of the huge temperature variation between seasons. Summer, 90 above. Winter-40. Plays havoc on the rails of normal trains. Now imagine having rail problems at 200 mph?

They will Soon with a high speed rail project between Los Angeles and Las Vegas Nevada. And the California high speed rail as well. Also Texas Central high Speed rail and Brightline between Miami Florida and Orlando FL

Love those double TGV Duplex trains. Most the class 373 Eurostar have been scrapped, but 12 sets survive and 8 are refurbished. Nice station pass at 1:46.

I’ve been on one before albeit a British one, from Peterborough to York. Took about an hour to get there and we only went 100 mph max, but that didn’t matter to me at the time because that was the first time I went on a proper modern train, before that I only went on steam trains on the NVR, the local heritage line. I was 11.

I'm from California, where we are working to build America's first true high speed rail system that'll connect San Francisco with Los Angeles and Anaheim, and later Sacramento and San Diego. California's system will be based on the European model, using a blended system of sharing tracks with other trains in the SF Bay Area and LA Basin/Anaheim area. It's planned to have a top speed of 220 mph (110 on shared track), making the non-stop trip between SF and LA in 2 hours 40 minutes. So watching these trains gives me a good idea what will one day be a daily sight in California's Central Valley, watching sleek, electrified high speed trains zipping their way between Northern and Southern California.

There’s a lot riding on the CAHSR project, as I feel all similar projects will learn from it, and its success or failure could determine whether high speed rail has a place in the US or not. It remains the only US high speed rail project so far that’s in the construction phase. The other US high speed rail project that’s nearing the construction phase is Brightline West between Las Vegas and Rancho Cucamonga, a city east of LA. That one will use the Interstate 15 corridor, and connect with Metrolink regional rail in RC where people will transfer to get to/from LA. Unlike CAHSR, theirs is being privately-funded. Brightline already has a successful passenger service between Miami and West Palm Beach, with a soon to be opened extension to Orlando that’ll allow speeds up to 125mph.

Quand je joue à Railway Empire je m'amuse à créer des lignes à grande vitesse sauf que les TGV n'existent pas encore donc je mets des Super Hudson à la place Ça fait un peu TGV mais à vapeur C'est sûr que ça va moins vite mais c'est quand même un kiff énorme

I am tired of politics. Lets enjoy admire the high speeds of these awesome electrics! I like the sets as i just viewed whether its France, Germany or Amtrak's ACELA there mighty fascinating to watch. I have models of these in HO SCALE not all the current.schemes except the EUROSTAR. Great videos.

I am a die hard railroader that has been in this all of my days all the trains count! I watch on another channel a young child & his father stand by, watching , filming & fascinated on the Northeast Corridor love what they catch on video & obviously enjoy it! Stop spoiling this i am offended!

@Ramen Lover you know why our infrastructure is falling apart! 2 I live in NEW YORK & people are protesting the Airport train to Laguardia Airport simply stupidity & stalling politics. They're proposed but bail out on these projects i would like to see these high speeds as well in the UNITED STATES.
