This ended up a lot tighter than I would've liked....but in my defense, att +10% is atrocious, and I cannot find Lamia's s2 to save my life.
I was originally gonna try to showcase a low invest no S clear with 2L2B (Yanyan Thistle), but as it turns out....Yanyan is very heavily shackle reliant in DZ due to her high ult cost...so my s1 is more or less unplayable, and would really like s4 to fully come online, s3 minimum. I was debating with Faku over whether Yanyan is more worthwhile for new players than Luvia, but this shackle dependency, amongst other things like her damage being split between 4 skills instead of 1, her very low att stat, having to build multiple skills and ecb on Thistle....etc., I still think Luvia is the queen of early magic, though Yanyan does have a higher burst ceiling.
This run does introduce some very niche tech. The input lockout on stage start is very random and unreliable, but it does not lockout pausing, and the lockout timer continues to run and expire while paused. For routes that require inputs in the very early starting frames (like this one), starting with an immediate pause helps a lot with the consistency, instead of rerolling potato code rng.
Because this break timing is very awkward for Luvia, you want to have her stay in ball as long as you can to flash farm as much of her 2nd overload as you can. If you have ecb3, you should look to activate it early to help farm overload before break.
For Serpent specifically, we want that first CRT to be broken on the top row, hence, a very quick first Cab ecb is required. Using Laby's first ult to jump on him as he approaches the center of the tile to force him to walk backwards also helps significantly.
Because low invest Lamia struggles to kill anything, especially in a support set, Serp also additionally needs to watch for her scythe to glow blue during AC, indicating a spin is armed. Make sure she spins in the center of the ecb to help aoe down the beefy adds. Also make sure to save a few moves so you can reposition for the final clear.
All in all, classic 2LS is fairly difficult to play this season without heavy investment, but they should still get the job done every week.
