This MT is weird, and waves 1-3 are by far the hardest. The packs are extremely dense, beefy, and the poison stacks stack up very quickly. Furthermore, wave 1 can't be rerolled for an initial build anymore, so we're holding on in base form until we can finally get a chance to pick up a build in wave 3. Knowing what major buffs are available and understanding which one you want before going in is crucial, and you are unlikely to pass the wave 3 dps check without getting your desired build, so having a smooth strat for waves 1 and 2 is the main key for this season.
Wave 1 is handled with a very basic core and clear routing, with our snipers gunning down bot while McQueen and Shalom drop all nukes top.
Wave 2 is an actual problem. The 2 core elite mages have ridiculous amounts of health, immediately split up, and do heavy 3x3 splash damage in a map with very few deployable tiles. Memorize roughly when they spawn and have McQueen blow them up immediately so they stay on the spawn tile and stack up so you can collateral them down, otherwise things get really messy.
As waves 1 and 2 don't use any buffs, this video can be used as a guide to farm for any build you want to play. Eve, Shalom, and Pearl are all flexible, and this farming route hinges entirely on McQueen and a solid tank.
Admittedly I'm just playing by the ear in wave 3. Rerolling wave 3 for a build is extremely annoying, and this is just the first run I got my kamikaze summoner build on, so I play extremely carefully to not lose it. This is also the reason Eve was brought along, as swapping summons has a very short cd and counts as killing the summon, turning her into an incredibly powerful true damage aoe dps. This lets us easily pass the dps check wall, so all you gotta do is not blunder any deaths.
