I love this medley as well. I was in my 40's when I heard this music. I love all decades. Not to boast but I will turn 70 next month and I am still a countertenor. Guess, my voice never changed at puberty. lol

Happy early birthday, psilvers 100!🥳 I'm going to turn 64 this summer and am most definitely Not a counter tenor, just a person who really enjoys singing, lol... How amazing it must be to be blessed with such an incredible voice, incredible singing ability! As for Pentatonix, since I first discovered them a few months ago I'm always amazed at how they never cease to amaze me, lol!🤯😊 It seems that there just isn't anything they can't do/sing if they want to.. and as people go~ no, I don't know them personally, of course, but from all I've seen & read, they just seem like they're very genuine, kind-hearted, good people.😉💖

I will be 66 in August, and I am the opposite of you. My voice entered the baritone range at 11, and it just got deeper from there. I can comfortably do the "Oompapa oompapa mau mau" in Elvira. I can also rise up to a moderate deeper tenor, say Mitch, at the bottom end of his register.

Kevin does do all those sounds live. Along with the others providing some sounds to. The bass, I forget his name, adds effects too. His bass is so good that it makes the effects sound fuller. When he's not doing bass stuff Scott does fills since he was originally the bass for their trio.

The original is a strange song, but their cover shows us the beauty hidden within. Mitch is featured throughout, but each performer is, as usual, essential and impeccable. Going on a binge of all of your reactions to acapella music. PTX brought me to you and I just subbed because you remind me so much of Hailee Steinfeld's character from Pitch Perfect 2. I'm pretty sure that Pentatonix were the inspiration for the movie as well because it came out shortly after their time on "The Sing Off"...which you REALLY need to do reaction videos to. Yes, the auto-tune is on the songs originally, they're sticking with the original sound of the songs in this medley. Yes the start of Auto-Tune in the late 90s, before that people really had to know how to sing...lol!

I have no idea *how* any of them do what they do. Regarding Kevin, however, I've noticed something. He has an entire invisible drum kit. When you see a video where they're all sitting together and the camera remains on the group rather than focusing in on individuals, try watching Kevin. He knows exactly where each of his instruments is. He'll reach out with an invisible drum stick and hit an invisible snare drum and you'll hear the snare drum. You *know* that it's coming entirely from him, but he _just hit a snare drum,_ so how could it be? It's positively surreal.
