[This is a re-upload of the same documentary after 2 mistakes was identified in the original upload of 25 May 2021, the following are the corrections]
1967: Singapore Development of First Satellite Town. (Timestamp: 02:17)
This is incorrect as was already developed by 1952, when Singapore was still a British colony. This error was made as my original script only stopped at Singapore’s first independence day in 1966. However, while going through the wonderful National Archives of Singapore, I stumbled upon some HDB photos that I compelled me to include it. However, I took the photo’s caption at face value without researching further into the proper context. I will do better in this process in future videos.
Read more about the correct information on Singapore’s first satellite town, Queenstown.
Block 290 & 291, Toa Payoh. (Timestamp: 05:02)
Oh how could I have made this error. Having extensively researched and visited this area multiple times over the course of the project, I had made a literal brain fart when I typed in Toa Payoh rather than the correct estate, Bishan. I have no explanation on why such a simple but crucial error would slip past despite multiple checks on my own, but I hope to be more careful in the future.
