I can identify with this song I’ve been a fan of PIL since early 80s and I know it’s about his mum dying from cancer, years later the same happened to my mum the last week of her life she was unable to speak and these lyrics kind of resonate with my mum, I miss her ❤

I didn't really care much for the Pistols but loved PIL. Am I alone here? This seems to be what J Lydon excelled at and what he should be best remembered for. This and Careering - pure magic, distilled intoxicating misery. Fantastic.

The very best of Pil. A far more interesting band musically than the 'Sex Pistols'. One of the truly important UK bands. Seminal, original, passionate inspiration. I used to play this all the time very loud driving everyone else crazy. Got me into bass. One of Lydon's very best. Also 'Bad Life', truly punk. No faking it 'Rock N Roll', like the relatively lightweight Pistols, A 'top of the Pop's parody of rebellion. *'Ever felt you've been had'?* With the talented Keith Levine and Jah Wobble, good drumming! Intense mourning his mom. Lydon's best. Mesmerizing darkness and pain!

Pil, Lene Lovich, Siouxsie, The Cure, the Clash, The Furs, The Talking Heads, Ian Dury, and later Depeche Mode and the Stone Roses. Both creative peaks with mucho talent.
