My 8 year old son and I were duck hunting this past Saturday the 28th and had three long breads raising holy he'll. Once the ducks quit I looked over at him and one of the turkeys let one rip about 200 yards away his eyes were the size of silver dollars. He is 8 this year and knows it is his time this year. He looked over and said man the heck with these ducks! Can't wait for 2023 season don't know about you.

Dave, I think this is one of my favorite videos of yours. I love the GoPro footage in the beginning because you can hear your breathing your heartbeat, and sense the frustration that you were going through. I’ve had many hunts that were like yours, but ended up prevailing with very little shooting time left in the morning. I’m sitting here watching your video, smoking a cigar with you. As you said, persistence as a turkey hunter helps you succeed, that and patience. Thanks for a great video as always.

Hey Dave! First of all I’ve been turkey hunting your way since I could walk and shoot a 20 gauge. I’m only 20 years old now, but your passion and success in this industry has inspired me to pursue a degree in wildlife ecology in hopes of studying these dinosaurs. Also, I bought the purple ghost and it has dramatically improved my calling. I’m starting to get those little whips you do down pat and can’t wait to use em in the woods. Love the videos keep ‘em comin.

My deer season ended today here in Louisiana and On the way home I put my first call in my mouth !! It’s ashamed it’s 2 months away. Have a great spring young man !! Love your content. I’d like to have you come make a hunt with me. I’m 30 mins. Off of I 20 I’ve got lots of birds.

Man, I wish the Merriams up here in Washington would grow beards like that. I shoot a great bird with inch plus spurs, and 8 inch beard almost never any bigger than 8 to 8.5.

I did. They can't handle the shotgun recoil though. I have 4 and each one isn't reliable.
