Because you pay more for TuneCore, you get a much better customer service... Whereas DistroKid is lackluster in customer service.

Sorry, haven't used a distributor yet. I'm about releasing a track and was confused as which distributor would be fit but after watching you make the comparison here, I've got a question. You mentioned that tunecore distributes to social platforms like facebook, tik tok etc. Does distrokid also distribute to social platforms and what's the cost? Thanks!

From what I can see, DistroKid distributes to social platforms too at no additional cost. So, the standard $19.99 yearly subscription should cover social releases. I think only KZfaq Content ID is extra!

SO I just googled complaints about both of these companies and seems they both have problems releasing funds. Seems to me this is a significant. Based on which music distributer does one use

Great post. Please don't forget that both companies have investors and owners. Please don't forget NFT, own website, encode music song and music notes, with scores for each instrument as evidence in all cases for court, IMRO(PRO) in Ireland, 26 euros for publisher and label (Germany) and be very tough in discussions with large corporations, also send music to China. This is no joke. Always save music notes on USB hard drives (buy 2 pieces). The Americans have a slightly different situation, but we in the EU, Russia and China have a different situation. Sport every day and compose every day.
