Finally you got to the lil mischievous chestnut himself!! Puck got to see Guts at his worst, his best, his scariest, etc and been by his side throughout all of it. He loves to play games with kids hence why people Erica, Jill, and even someone like Isidro are drawn to him. The lil dude has been with us since the inception of the story (as we read from the first chapter in the manga) all the way to the most recent chapter. In the beginning, Guts called him something like a “medkit” cuz of his Elf dust healing ability and eventually Puck grew on him enough for Guts to call him by his name instead of “bug.” Glad you got to his origins.

When Puck was the only one following Guts he had the same role of Gaston for Navarre in Ladyhawke or Robin for Batman. Having dialogues. Every time Batman acts alone we can only know what he thinks thanks to thought bubbles. Every time Guts has people to talk to, the role of Puck shifts to comedy relief only.

Hell yessss. I know some people hate how he went full goofy as the story went on but I personally love it. Him and isididro have such a funny dynamic

My hope for the future is that Elf Dimension style is actually a real magical sword art that Isidro eventually masters as he grows and matures.

I wanted to learn more about Berserk and the characters since many people are divided on the story and some of the mature content within the lore. So far, Guts and Casca are my favorites with Puck now being a fun character that helps balance between the gloom and dread of the Berserk universe.

I really enjoy how this channel dives so deep into the different characters of Berserk. I've read it a few times through over the years and this will add some flavor on my next rewatch.

Puck is not in any way irrelevant to the story has he plays an extremely integral part of it as he is fast small and he can heal just by fluffing his dandruff on you. He’s way more useful than not.

I think Puck became a joke character to throw everyone reading off. I truly believe that he’s going to have a major role in the end and that we’ll see the old puck design again.

I love Puck because he was humane when Guts failed to be in the Black Swordsman Arc. My hope is that when the reins of Berserk left behind by Miura are picked up again, they get rid of the "Chestnut Puck" guise and return him to his OG form.

To me puck will always be like that annoying little brother. No one gets to talk smack about him but me because deep down I actually care about him and would spin the block of anyone who gave him grief. The black swordsman arc and conviction arc were my favorite puck moments but that's just personal opinion.

when the story is full of deep and developing characters, throw Puck in it couldn't add anything more so i think that's why Puck became more and more comedic relief along the way

I could never get the Manga physically. At first I was too young and only had be introduced to anime by shows like dbz and pokemon. When I was old enough and no longer a jaded child and had a more versed knowledge of anime and Manga in general I couldn't find it since the Manga shops I had turned to 14+ mainstream media and were saturated by Naruto and One Piece, the latter I am fine with.

Honestly i like the 1997 anime version of the Black Swordsman arc more, where Puck was replaced with a... girl they were having fun with Seems not only more realistic, not only understandable why Guts would care seeing and intervening in that... and it just made the entire world even more dark and lonely + it made what happened at the end of that anime even more shocking
