Quick tip, at a resting position a human hand will pretty much always have these features: Thumb is resting near the center of the palm (not exactly but close), the pointer finger is usually most outward from the hand while the other fingers gradually tuck into the palm (this one helped me so. Much.)

The thumb will not rest anywhere near the human palm it will mostly rest near one of the fingers

If I’m using a reference and doing traditional art I can draw decent hands, but digitally it’s so hard for me to make them decent I’ve only ever made decent-looking digital hands with vector art, I have such respect for digital artists!

2:27 i use that hand trick most of the time, in my Experience, it mostly makes the finger's look a lttle more Square, but it is good when you wanna go for a more simple drawing

I just wanted to say, that it’s fine to trace the reference as long as you’re only tracing it to outline the anatomy and shapes. Don’t trace it line for line.
