Puer Te Parteeth / پیورتہ پرتیتھ / Drama Serial in Kashmiri. Based on the density of population, development, amenities, employment opportunities, education, etc. human settlement is majorly divided into two categories i.e. Urban and Rural. Urban refers to a human settlement where the rate of urbanization and industrialization is high. On the other hand, in a rural settlement, is one where the rate of urbanization is quite slow. The drama serial PUER TE PARTEETH highlights the said situation of a family which is headed by “Gule Sahab”. He is a successful farmer in rural village located at far away from the city. Gule Sahab is having 3 Sons and 1 Daughter which are settled in a posh City in Urban area. They never bother to look after their Parents in Village. One day when they came to know that their father have passed away, they ran towards their village and unfortunately when they arrive to their village their father was already buried by villagers. They didn’t participate in the last funeral of their father.
They get in contact with Patwari to know the status of their property in their village to distribute among them. When they came to know that the property is in the name of their Grandfather, they call their mother “SAIDA” and she reveals the whole story from her childhood that the rural life is simple and relaxed than the life in urban area. At the end of drama serial they arranges a headstone (PUER) for the grave of their father but their mother refuses to fix that headstone, because she says that in entire life there is no need of headstone (PUER)but only need of Affiance (PARTEETH).
So, in this drama serial, it is easily understood that these two human settlements are very different, regarding the density of human structures and the residents of that area. The standard of living in urban areas is higher in comparison to the rural areas. At present, the maximum part of the total population resides in urban areas, as well as the total land area occupied by the urban region is greater than the rural areas.
