It looks delicious but as many videos, when the presenter speaks a list of ingredients, for some magic reason they lower their voice when listing the last ingredient. what did she say after garlic powder? 😮

I didn't know Puertoricans made picadillo...not while I was living there in the 70s. this is more Cuban style. Puertoricans make carne molida con papas...it's almost the same thing but cooked different.

You are correct in saying "Puerto Ricans call it carne molida", however, this preparation was taught to me by both my mother-in-law and husband who are born and raised Puerto Ricans. I am both Puerto Rican and Cuban and it's the Cuban in me that calls it "Picadillo", my mistake. Both preparations of Picadillo and Carne Molida are similar, however, the Puerto Rican version is saucier and the Cuban version adds gold raisins. Potatoes are optional in either dish, for this quick weeknight meal, I decided to omit because potatoes take more time to prepare. I hope that helps!

Looked like ground pork opposed to beef

Farm fresh ground beef doesn’t have coloring agents and is lighter in color than store bought ground beef.
