In this tutorial, I show you with the help of a pug the best way to clean a dog's nose fold. Quite a few breeds have them and it is important to clean the fold so that the dog doesn't get an infections, irritations etc.

The Dog Grooming Den Water wipes are fantastic. No chemicals in them at all. Stay moist to the last wipe too.

@@charlottewalker4939 They just have some health problems, but with the right care, they're very happy puppies. (To me all dogs are puppies because they're all my babies.)

I use Cotten swabs just put cleaning alcohol on the end

Coconut oil but ask your vet first she may have a skin condition it happens to some pugs I read

@@grieys NEVER 3 times a day. 3x weekly maybe. I have two Pugs, one is itchy every 5-6 weeks and one 3x a week lol

@@JakeDrives1 hi i just got a pug my vetinarian is recommending me to do the surgery for her because she snores to open her nostrils .. Just looking for pug owners opinion??? Thanks

@@jasminenava180 if it's just because of snoring DO NOT do it. Only do it if the dog NEEDS it. aka dog can't breathe, fainting during exercise etc. Pugs snore. that's part of the breed. I happen to love it actually lol. If you vet keeps pushing surgery on that basis alone, find a different vet. No surgery on a Pug unless it's MEDICALLY necessary. Snoring is a thing that all pugs do.

Try using Carmex! The same product that us humans use for chapped lips! You should never ever have to restraint your pug nor any dog when using this product! And just put a small dab on your finger. And work into the foldes and try not to get near the eye's! Try this product once a week all year round! Problem solved!

All pug faced dogs stink,' I've tried cleaning a foster dog I had that was a pug daily, Sometimes twice a day but the bacteria that grows in their crevices/wrinkles keeps coming back, especially when they sweat, play, etc. It's hard to get close to them to give them a kiss Even- they are just stinky gross smelling and it's bad! The breeding of these dogs need to stop! They can't even breathe-

That was not very nice. The dog was in pain, you should of used plain boiled water cooled down with added salt or none. Felt bad for this pug

The dog didn’t seem to be in pain at all? More uncomfortable if anything. I use this method on my pug also, it’s quick and efficient.

@@rubyrose497 I also have two pugs, and my chubbiest pug has a very thick and deep crease, he gets very sore, and it does hurt them. Remember animals can not speak, they handle pain a lot more than humans, just because they are not screaming doesn’t mean that they are not in a lot of pain. When we have broken bones we cry, and constantly complain of pain until we seek medical attention, when dogs have broken bones, they may Yelp at the initial break but afterwards they crack on and struggle through the pain, with no constant whimpering. Its the same when they have cancer. Please don’t be naive, these creases get very sore, even if they do not appear to be sore… sudacrem is very effective, and works wonders, also lukewarm pre boiled water helps to soothe it. Applying the sudacrem using ear buds Is a very good way and painless way to apply it…
