I was out fishing and crabbing today in port Susan after launching at the kayak point launch. Its an incredible area and will continue to keep going there since it’s so calm and I have a small baot

@@danieldavidson8149 they didn’t have a boat launch in the 80’s-90’s when I live there and the annual pass was still $40 but walk the dogs fish etc but no launch, I’d back my 78” hi boy first down into the bay drop the bay liner roll out! Many choppy notes few beers deep was fun stuff! I’ll never forget Washington and all the fun it has to offer outdoors rain or shine!!!

@@danieldavidson8149 and if you crab use chicken legs w the over nighter cage, head towards the tip of camano island and approximately 100-300yds off shore from that tip drop your pots and let sit 3-4hrs and they be full of dungness keepers!! 6-1/4 back then? If it’s deeper then your 100ft rope go closer inland! Good luck I can still see the shore line talking about it! If you steelhead fish or rip the rivers let me no I’ll guide you were it use to be hot! Have fun

Oh yeah. Used to catch them on the south side of Fidalgo Head, just out of Skyline marina. Used squid as bait, and fished along "the wall". Not big, but battered up and deep fried, great taste.

Are they all greenling?

I have caught two greenling hogs in kelp beds. They typically bite on anything, but I have found success using a 3'-4' Berkeley Gulp! shrimp on a Texas rig.

I heard people catch flounder off priest point near Everette. There is a KZfaqr lady that catches them off a kayak but she goes out at slack tide and on the edge of the shelf before it gets deep

I heard on the other side of jetty island at the port of Everett. I also heard that it is good for crabbing and catching Ling. Edmunds by the ferry has absolute hog Lingcods on a kayak. I have yet to catch one yet but I have seen people bring them in and they were on kayaks.
