Wow, lots of inventory, updated store and lots of patrons. Had all Kmarts looked like this, they may have still been a true competitor to Walmart and Target

This is what all of our new Kmart stores looked like in the '90s. One of my first bosses transferred from this Guam store to Topeka. He brought two girlfriends with him, which was interesting 😀😀

There are six Transformco Kmarts left today, in Guam, Florida, New York, and Virgin Islands (3). There are Kmarts in Australia which were started by Kresge, but have long since been completely acquired by Kresge's Australian partner. That's similar to Sears in Mexico - those are part of the Carlos Slim conglomerate.

This is one of the last of a handful of Kmart stores in the U.S. and U.S. territories, but not the world, since Kmart Australia (who also operates Kmart New Zealand) still currently operates over 300 stores and was once partially owned by Kmart U.S. from 1969 to 1994...

I am afraid the remaining Kmarts are closing by the end of 2023 includes Guam. You may get a Walmart if they close there as I am hearing. Nice thing is no sales tax when I was there several years ago. It is the cheapest on the island as Micronesia Mall is much more expensive.

To answer your question IF! they close... they'll go move over to the new Don quihote store thats opening up next year!! its like a Japanese KMART They call it DONKI for short!!

Also the reason this store is well stocksd os cause theyre are different merchandisers that have like an agreement with kmart..besides the kmart stockers

They really took a gamble and won. Prime location for one, they targeted the hunger for Asian tourist who love American offerings and a fair price point for the locals have made this one a win-win.

There are still a few KMarts around Australia, and I think there's one single store still open in the US. That's it as far as I know.

@@MarkPuke13 I live near the K-Mart in the Hamptons in New York. It looks pretty nice and will probably be the last one to close. There's one in New Jersey that's looking pretty rough. There's also on in Miami, which I've never visited. Those are the only three in the US mainland. There's also a handful in the USVI, in St. Thomas and St. Croix, and one in Puerto Rico

This isn't one of the last Kmart's in the world.. there is still over 200 Kmart stores in Australia and 20 in New Zealand.

This is a different Kmart owned by Sears Holdings Corp and it’s one of the last American Kmarts to exist (3 being the last on the US mainland while Kmart in Guam and the US Virgin Islands are still doing well). Aussie Kmart is a completely different store owned by Wesfarmers
