Awesome video! Thumbs over the bar externally rotates your shoulders, with the thumbs under, it internally rotates more. For me thumbs over the bar helps my shoulders so much. Keeps me injury free for years now. I still train hard at 64 years old.

Hi Artem, what's the best grip width to work with if you want to develop the strength for muscle ups?
@Artemgw

depends what grip you will use for muscle up. It is more about explosiveness not about grip
@MrCmon113

I don't feel any pain on my thumbs when doing wide grip pull ups with a closed grip. Also I'm not limited by grip on that variation. But I will try the open grip for narrower pull ups, because I often find my grip slipping before my back has really reached it's limit.

Normal grip is fine and for muscle up try high pullup and explosive... and you can add low dips on a straight bar and go all the way down. You can do negative muscle up and one thing which is very important is technique(to have a little swing and at the beginning help with your legs... search for tutorials) Hope I helped you

Thank you for the video. A small grammar point: remove the word "on" before "efficiency." Also, delete the question mark: you are not asking a question, per se, but are making a statement. If you say, "How does your grip affect efficiency," then you have an interrogative. Dr. D

Yes, dont eat too much (just eat little but less than you do) and if you dont progress, a mistake may be in your training like poor recovery, not doing basics, bad volume/fruequency/intensity/too much or little maxing. Being small is really only about genetics and eating. Training is not so important factor
@MrCmon113
@MrCmon113 Жыл бұрын
Hypertrophy inevitably leads to performance. You just need to give it time and rest. Your fatigue probably accumulates faster than your strength gains masking your progress. If you're serious about it, plan deloads and then look at your performance after the deload.
