While our Pit Boss 1150 gets the controller sent out, the Kamado Joe Classic 1 takes it's place to smoke a pork butt into pulled pork. Temps were at 275*. Fuel for the fire was briquettes with Oak wood. Briquettes are incredibly ashy and while they hold life a bit longer than lump charcoal, you have to maintain the fire and dump the ash or you may end up with reduced airflow.
