Is there a consistent way of not getting disconnected if say I want to go backwards on a bagging track? I'm always scared of getting dc so I never go backwards for coins on tracks "(•.•)"

In Mogis they will signify the teams (usually six teams of two but can be other amounts) with having the same letter at the start of their name. For example in this one their team letter was M.
