Today I start the engine swap I've been dreading for months, by taking out the massive 6.0 W12 from my cheap, $11,000 Bentley Continental GT. I hope you like montages. Thanks to Ferrparts for coming through with a great low mileage engine!

Charles Proteus Steinmetz Yeah, a lot of camera work to make a 1 day job just pulling an engine in a Bentley gt into a 4 day job without showing in the slightest bit how to actually do any of the wrk while filming himself do it since why would he make it possible for everyone else to tear apart and do the same job? Nah, just spend 3 days filming a one day job for shot and giggles for the montage that has no educational value. Yep.

So the ABS light comes on when the motor builds vacuum because there’s a leak to the brake booster Once the booster builds vacuum it goes away The brake booster line comes off the side of the engine that the master is mounted on the firewall wall i’ve seen a lot of Volkswagen and Audi’s have the same problem

Privet Tavarish! Can you possibly talk one day on how you organize all the parts you remove from the car? Keeping track of all parts seems like a very difficult task
@rcairforceone
@rcairforceone 5 жыл бұрын
It is lol. I track removed hardware normally by putting the fastener back in place after the component is removed, or using a piece of cardboard as a template. I've also used paint pens/sticks to color code positions, angles, etc. Those are also good for harnesses, if you're removing one.

I was just thinking this. With all the projects hes got going on at once and then to tackle this major task hes got to do some serious storage and organization to keep everything straight. You dont want to accidentally put anything in the wrong place or lose something on these supercar projects, it's not like building an IKEA bookshelf where you expect to have a few extra parts afterwards!

@@demetrytrofimchik4704 maybe you don't understand modern engines and car manufacturing. unless there is gross negligence in the treatment of that engine, it could still be good. Bentley is a top tier car company. they know how to make engines that last long. 3 months ago i witnessed a 250k+ LS engine out of a plumbing work truck compression test perfect numbers. now it will be put in a drift car. are you saying Chevy can build a better engine than Bentley?
@PANTYEATR1
@PANTYEATR1 5 жыл бұрын
@@demetrytrofimchik4704 you say it's a gross nightmare without ANY evidence of internal engine damage. as far as that nasty wiring, who says that wasn't a crappy mechanic doing a bad job? you won't know if that engine is junk until you test it PERIOD! your presumptions are meaningless opinions until Tavarish tests that engine!
