how do you find stuff like that i would love to find some thing like that reasonable price near me or some what close dont mind travling but not across country

You start building and reach out to other builders, let people know you're building a railroad, have patience and they often find you.

For the life of me I'll never understand why guys don't wear work gloves when they do this sort of thing. Spare me the "cause we're men" BS. After shoving a 1/2" long splinter up under one fingernail, then getting a vicious infection from another splinter a few years later, I wear work gloves now for just about every kind of yard work, moving metal or wood around, etc... Work gloves are you hand's best friend. Nice rail though... Definitely worth the effort to salvage it, unlike the stuff you took home from Wisconsin about the same time.
