It’s called marketing habibi, I have a car rental company which is being promoted through these road trips which have Islamic brotherhood as well as reminders etc in them. What I find immature is this mindset and attitude that some people seem to have that anyone who owns a business and actually enjoys what they do for a living should suddenly stop out of some sort of guilt when that’s how they earn an income and provide for their families? Alhamdulillah it’s a blessing to be able to earn an income through things like this rather than being stuck behind a desk in a 9-5 office job. But why the double standard? Have you stopped providing for your family recently? Have you called for others in 9-5’s to stop working too? Or is it only those who are entrepreneurial & actually enjoy what they do? Come on akhi, let’s leave this playground mentality in the playground where it belongs and approach these issues with a mature & realistic lens. It gives off haasid energy. May Allah allow us to use our wealth to benefit the ummah and cleanse our hearts from negative assumptions and hasad.
