Thank you for your video To increase the likelihood of leading the catheter to the PA : 1. Should we Feed the PA catheter through the cordis rapidly or slowly? 2. Should we put the patient upright or supine ?

I just had this procedure done on 10/20/18 for PE Pulmonary Embolism. It was painless but very bloody they pumped heparin a blood thinner into my right lung through an artery in my neck to break up the blood clot.

I’ve just been diagnosed with Pulmonary hypertension per Echo and methinks this is in my near future? My pcp will set up Cardiology consult when he gets off vacation! Riiiight

This is to keep the area sterile...that is bacteria free. This is very important so as to prevent blood infection
