Berluti nails it at the 4:08 mark. That's corporate these days. Some honk in a suit jumpin up n down, look at me, look at me, I made change, I made change! They do this to justify their position. Doesn't matter if the change makes things better or not, it just has to change. Been thru that BS a time or two.

I had a 1993 CR250 built by Pro Circuit and Bones Bacon built the sock in 1998. the power was just not there. Low-end/ midrange sucked. Tried racing it but I guess I was too tall for it. I was way to cramped on it. (Not a Tall Racer bike.) I tried the 1998 KTM 380SX and sold the 93' CR250 immediately, I still have the 380 SX in my collection, but I'm not looking for a 93/96 CR250 and never will. lost a lot of Time and money on this myth!

@@bigbird-xm must of been something wrong with it to not have the power there? Mine is a rocket... It's faster up the straights that other pre95 bikes I ride with...

As an amateur I LOVED that 97 bike. It would not turn and it vibrated like a Harley. But damn it was a rocket ship. You knew anytime you got in a drag race you were not going to lose.

They're doing the same thing to street bikes... and tires. Everything is SUPER STIFF and not easy to lean or turn. I can only think it's for stunters?

98 cr250 surprised me at the time. I wasn’t a top racer but the motor was strong and I did better. Almost distracted from the negatives.

He wasn't wrong. I like to call it the CBR250R. It was legit a crotch rocket frame. Notice how they drastically changed it very quickly and it worked right away. Such an overreach for the initial iteration

I don't get why factory's fix what's not broken. Reminds me of Chad on his 11/12 CRF450. He was winning and almost got championships. The 13 was a completely new bike and he hated it and switched to Kawi the next year. I'm a Honda fan and don't get why they bring a new from the ground up bike every 4yrs when they could make something that's going ok better from the existing platform if it's not bad

Funny how you look back on things and wonder why you fell for the new and improved I purchased a 97 CR250 after owning the steel framed CR125 I lost the front and more on that bike then I have on anything one reason I ride the steel framed Husqvarna still like that feel😊
