Full Review of the Pulsar Thermion XP50 Thermal Scope. The much anticipated Pulsar Thermion XP50's have finally started to hit the dealers. At $4,999.97, Pulsar has given the consumers the enhancements that we have asked for but kept the price the same as the Trail XP50's! We'll discuss the differences and advantages between the Pulsar Trail XP50 and the Thermion XP50, review Specifications, and view Thermal video from the XP50 itself. I've used the Thermion XP50 for the past month, almost every night of the week. Here's the full review!...

*** Why Hunt Hogs? ***
My journey into wild/feral hog hunting started like many others living in rural communities. I didn't start hog hunting for fun or sport... I did it because I had to. My father-in-law started me on this path several years ago when he asked me to help out with a problem. You see, hogs cause millions of dollars of damage and destruction each year in rural communities and our situation was no different. Hogs were destroying our land, our family's land, and the land our family tree farming business. The vast majority of hunting videos that you see on this channel are hogs, boars and sows, taken from family land... this problem is personal for me. We have had hogs come as close as 20 feet from my front door, and having 2 small children at home and knowing how aggressive and dangerous hogs can be, getting rid of the problem was a safety concern. This is why when people ask how I got into hog hunting... my answer is always "I didn't get into it because I wanted to, I started doing it because I had to!". It's a personal fight and struggle...
__________________________________________________
*** Why Hunt Coyotes and Predators? ***
Coyotes and Predators, similar to hogs, cause financial stress for many families in rural communities. Coyotes kill livestock, plain and simple. Ranchers have battled coyotes killing cattle since the early days of ranching and it costs them dearly. Cattle ranching is a business, the cows aren't pets, every time they lose a calf to a coyote those families lose a paycheck. Cattle ranchers hate coyotes just as much as Farmers hate hogs! I hunt coyotes to protect the livelihood of my friends and neighbors that depend on their cattle business to feed their family...

You bet that's a great video,,well done,, have you ever done a comparison between the ATN Thor 4K or you opinion on that thermal scope?

Great video as I am a first time buyer of a thermal scope and am trying to decide between the trail or the thermion. My one question...does the thermion have a built in rangefinder? I didn’t see a range on the videos. I know the trail comes with the LRF option.

Great video! My concern would be with the battery. I’m a person who likes to put my rifle and scope in a safe after a long night of hog hunting and not on a usb charger. It would be great if you could just drop some new cr123s in the field. Do you know if this would be in pulsars plans for future models?

Hello, thank you for the super video. I have the choice between the Thermion XP50 or the new Thermion 2 XP50. Since I have to decide in a couple of days, I'd appreciate your comments on which one to buy. Thanks, Bill

Thinking about investing in a Thermal myself. Do you think a basic ATN THOR LT would be good for my 300 blackout? I wouldn't want to shoot over 150 yards if I had too. What Thermal would you suggest for an AR Pistol? I know the Thermions are better for bigger calibers to go hundreds of yards further and have better imaging than the THOR LTS. Also, What part of East TX are you from? I'm just north of Nacogdoches

Good morning Very good video, Congratulations. If you had to choose between the trail xp50 and the thermion xp50 with which of the two you would choose? Watching the video I have the feeling that the resolution and contrast is less than the trail. I now have the xp50 trail, do you think the change compensates me? Thank you very much and congratulations for the channel.

Thank you for watching! That’s a tough question because I’m a big fan of the Trail and Thermion.. at the end of the day I’d choose the Thermion, mostly because I think it looks better on the rifle. Also, the videos on the Thermion look better as well 👍🏻

nice reviews, thanks for sharing. What would you think will work best for red fox hunting 100-200 meters shoots average in the open fields. thermion xp 50 vs thermion xm 50?
@HansETX
@HansETX 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! Both would be good choices. XP50 would offer a cleaner image but the higher magnification on the XM50 would give you an advantage on a long shot on a small animal. I think the XM50 would be more beneficial for you...

Do you know if the battery that is builtin to the unit can be serviced by pulsar since it's not removable? Batteries can fail or get weak over time so I did. Ot want to invest this much money on a thermal with a built in battery if pulsar can't even replace it if needed. This might cause me to get the trail instead..... What are your thoughts?
@HansETX

Yes they can replace the internal batteries 👍🏻

@@HansETX Thank you for the answer I was hoping so. Really like your videos and it gives me lots of good information thank you. I am kind of new to the thermal scene and hunt hogs in Jacksboro Tx and they are getting a little daylight shy. So I am going to give this a shot with some bait barrels.
