Ppl like to move to Calgary , welcome to Calgary with second highest unemployment rate, 8.1%. It will be harder and harder to find a job in Calgary with increasing housing cost.

More people would become carpenters and plumbers and electricians if you paid more. This guy talking about tech jobs. Tech is literally dead layoffs in the thousands. How do they find these goofs?

Yep, this guest is spewing utter BS. There is no shortage of tech workers in this country. For the supposed shortage of trades workers, maybe they should stop union-busting and suppressing wages. Electricians in Alberta are making on average $38/hr in Alberta. That is what they were making in 2012. Over a decade and no wage gains and they wonder why no one wants to work in the trades.

@@JD-hr6dr In ontario the Unions keep pay super low. Its not a benefit to be in a union here anymore. Find a small company

Housing in Saskatchewan should be going full tilt. It feels like the slowest June in a decade. We're just learning how to make the same output with less people.

Jobs are in a state of repair. The companies are in a cautious mode and nothing will get better until the correction and impending crash happens, we need to see lower prices in order to rebuild. We wait for that and look forward to a new era of investment

Jobs are linked to Economic investment,, and the weakness of skilled labour,,, Currently Canada is rated a VERY POOR for investors, you need money to hire people

what is the dude smoking, I'm software engineer with more than five years of experience, got laid off last NOVEMBER from my last US employer and there's no job at all in Canada. This country is a joke.

@@priuss6109 hope you are doing well, I'm trying out trading and t's kinda funny the other day I was talking with a developer friend whose hourly rate is at 30 something (in CAD), And I was like dude I better get better at trading cause even if I get a job, it would still suck balls.

He Must have read the report from 2018 or 2020. I am Not a software engineer, but I have met too many recent CS graduates working as sales associates. The same complaint all the time- no jobs.

The number goes up not just population., if you’re in construction, we are in a recession! Developers wont be building with these interest rates!
