Velocity or muzzle speed is same for 12 or .410. It’s just a bunch less shot…..

I've got a Browning 20 guage pump and it's deadly with a full choke on dove. A fun gun to shoot. Going to try my 410 retay semi next hunt!

I hunting more days than birds I've killed. Been slow in my area. Saving on ammo I guess. Second yr having my nova. I love it, but it's a little bit long for me being a shorter guy. And it worked just fine after being iced over on a couple of duck hunts. Hurry up and send those Kansas dove down my way. Supposed to be in the low 90's all week I'm hoping birds move into my spots

Duck hunting I use a 12. Feet are always stuck 😂. Need the extra spread of shot.

I hunted dove opener with a pump this year. I can and do commiserate with you about the pump

When I started out duck and goose hunting, back when I was 9 years old, I started with an 11-87. I would waste to much ammo on birds because I was excited and shooting to fast. My dad bought me a pump to slow me down, it saved ammo because I wasnt very good at pumping it at first. It didnt take very long to get good with the pump though, but it did teach me to slow down and pick my shots. I still have that old pump and I use it all the time for clay shooting, its like second nature to pump it at this point. I'll never not own a pump, nor will I go very long without shooting it. Its the same thing as you with your silenced gun, you just need to get reps with it to become used to it. I bet if you shot just a pump for a month or 2 you would get just as good as your auto. I'm not saying you need to or anything, I'm just a pump fan and would love to see them more.

After owning many semi auto shotguns from benelli, Beretta, etc, I've had too many issues to consider it a good tool for me personally. I went from 1900dollar ethos Cordoba best down to a pump and I have never had one single issue since clunky slown loudness ugly heavier recoil, but it goes bang everytime and I can shoot it accurately about as fast as any semi auto I've owned . And I can beat the crap out of it and not care one bit

Just because it’s a confusing pump doesn’t mean you don’t have to reload it! I get the action of pumping it but it loads the exact same. Or do ya mean a .410 shell loads differently? I have been trying to like the different bird videos so ya keep doing them I think they’re are funnier and more important because newer or younger hunter might be intimidated or not able to hunt waterfowl.

Bob, since Judge is whistle trained, why don’t you carry your whistle with you while hunting,even with doves and pigeons, especially when he does not see the fall.

The dove have been thick this year. And call me a wuss with judge cuz I’m not a fan of picking up live animals..
