You are such an inspiration! I love learning how to do things on my own, so watching you learn as you go just tickles me to death. I picked my corn last week, and I seem to have started my pumpkins not even a week after you so it will be nice to have someone to compare plants to. I only have two plants though, and am planning on growing them up a nylon trellis - good luck with your garden, can't wait for updates!

Hey man I really enjoy your videos please keep sharing. I planted pumpkins last year but the squash beetles completely ate my plants before I could spray. I hope to have better luck this year. Look forward to your next video and good luck with your harvest.

Your daughter is so cute. I'm showing my grand daughter to also do some gardening. I planted pumpkins around April but here lately it rains every day. It's so hard to garden outside. I notice that this is happening all over. Now I have to wait until after Sept when hurricane season is gone. Great garden.

I totally agree. Another thing I might try is trimming back the vines a few feet from the pumpkins. Select only a few from each plant to let mature. Don't let the plants try and grow too many all at once. yup 4 or 5 plants each with say 2 or 3 pumpkins should give you larger results.

Good job on the videos. I've really enjoyed them. Hey, I just wanted to say though that I think the reason your pumpkins were so small is because the roots of each plant is too close together. I would recommend thinning them out to 4 or 5 plants. I think that'll increase the size of your plants and up your production. Basically getting more/larger fruit off less plants. If you want to see if that's maybe what's going on you could plant 2 or 3 plants over by themselves spaced about 4 foot apart.

Lol I did fair on the corn, I didn't know ANYTHING about what I was doing, so I only planted four plants. I got three cobs off of them though, so that's about a 40% average, I was happy getting one. ;-) My first true leaf broke off my pumpkin vine today, think the rest of the plant will still grow okay? I...don't really know much about those either, ha!

Not all of them but maybe I will isolate a few if I want to save seeds and make sure they are true to the variety. I did not tape the white pumpkin bloom but it was growing by itself and was the first plant to begin blooming.
