I recently made an Apple pie mead. Recipes are scarce and hard to determine what works and what doesn't so I more or less Frankensteined a recipe. It's delicious. 2.5lb honey, d47yeast, fermaid-0, go ferm, the usual. After primary I added in 1 vanilla bean for 5 days, 1 clove for 2 days, 1 cinnamon stick for 5 days, a chunk of nutmeg for 3 days. I tasted it everyday until I was happy with the flavor balance. I also back sweetened with caramelized honey and brown sugar. 8/10. Can't wait to see how yours turns out.

I’m in Canada. Honey here is so expensive. No wonder mead is pricey to buy. Great video. Thanks!

I'm hoping it will reduce the haze from the pumpkin and sweet potato. We shall see if it works!
