I feel since Freedom , even from 1922 when the first exam was conducted INDIA needs to improve its parameters answering questions and being pillars of the strong nation is wider subject.. Most people who become IAS officers, their motive is to get famous, powerful and show off their success to society and get a luxurious life for themselves, mostly the women who become IAS do it just to show how intelligent, strong and independent they are. Their are very few IAS who take their job as a responsibility towards the nation and its people. Corruption is the main reason. Not just IAS, people having government job in any domain most rarely work in their jobs as they will easily get their salaries from taxpayers money. There is a reason why people shift their bank accounts from government bank to private bank. The main problem is society has put government jobs on pedestal and worship people who has the same
