I got this in a book named "Punisher: From first to last". It has 3 stories, all by Garth Ennis: The Tyger,12 y/o Frank meeting evil for the first time (some really cool lines) The Cell: the Punisher lets himself get caught and sent to prison, where he goes after the mobsters involved in his family's death The End: the one in the video

@@nickmosley6589 You should check them all out, All of Ennis's stuff is fanastic (I suggest the BORN series, Frank in Viet Nam before he lost his family. Its... its fucking intense and the ONLY origin I consider cannon). Also, The Tyger listed above is one of my favorite stories ever as well. Daniel picked three amazing books.

@@nkemnoraulmanfredini7286 The stuff where they retconned his entire origin to make him an angsty teen was some bastardization of the character at a level that destroys his entire persona. He wasn't someone destined to become the Punisher, he was forced into it through tragedy and circumstance. Read, BORN that is a good origin story. The whole "Punisher is the beast" thing is a good idea but to get there they RUINED HIS ENTIRE CHARACTER.

You know, I find this to be somewhat of a good ending. See, humanity didn't die as a bunch of dwellers with offspring that would be as corrupt and miserable as they are, it died with one man of conviction and honor thinking about his family. At least the species had a respectable last man who knew when it was time to call quits

Garth Ennis, a massive edgelord with a hate boner for superheroes. He was the guy who wrote Crossed, Preacher, The Boys, and the MAX run of Punisher. Although he does a really great Punisher, he writes nothing but edgy cynical gore-porn.

@@frankenwaifu8092 His Punisher run was fantastic if anything for just pulling Frank and a few others out of the Marvel main universe. He has his misses but you're right, he nailed the punisher. Preacher also has some fantastic runs between the god gore porn.

Sorry but his ass would've be doing any of this, the punisher is marvel plot armor batman just lethal. And the doctor wouldnt have anything near him and he would be strapped to the table, so he couldn't try anything.
