No. Nephew does work. He sometimes closes the set or not. Last season he would carry if Punk or CJ got eliminated. JWong is the only, and it pains me to say it, liability on their team. Had CJ Truth stayed their team would definitely be performing better.

Truth is, J Wong is kinda washed up, I mean he is in his what, mid or late 30’s, he’s no spring chicken, plus he never really found his stride in Sfv, maybe early on, he won a few of’em here and there, but not many….the SFL just proves my point, he barely won. I think nephew at best, is a so-so player, meaning yea he’s a good USA player, but compared to international players, he’s just an average player. You’ll see once capcom cup gets here, I bet he won’t make it out the first round

The only weakness I’ve seen Daigo have, is his stubbornness to counter pick, and his stubbornness to refrain from doing certain moves that will punish him, and make him lose the match bc he plays too risky sometimes.

He screwed his team over in GF for Season 3 by underestimating Big Bird's Ken with a Vega pick, then Panda proceeded to lose. He didn't even take the match serious, if I were a teammate I'd be pissed off.

Smug is probably the better G. Is optmized and all. But imo Crimson is the best overall player of the 3. He dropped a lot of combos bit still got the win. The other 2 never drop, but wouldn't beat Punk neither. Crimson is very talented, even his Luke is scary these times. He destroyed ProblemX in the mirror

A lot of top players point to punk being the best due to consistency and reactions but this isn’t to say that there are many godly players who can beat him

Because he consistantly beats the best players, makes massive comebacks in bad matchups, can play any character to a grandmaster level and plays an honest character designed solely on neutral so you see none of his skill coming from mix ups

Difference is Daigo, Tokido, Sonicfox (to my knowledge), etc. don't constantly talk down certain players and underestimate their opponents. The way Punk denigrated Crimson after getting eliminated from France RBK was petty AF and it's still here at SFL, that's why Crimson dominated him (with his secondary, no less). If Punk respected more players besides select Japanese players more then he'd probably perform better, but he keeps setting himself up for disappointment. The way Panda played this week, they were destined to lose especially considering supposedly weaker teams like UYU beat VGIA previoiusly. Way they're playing if Panda and UYU meet up again I 90% expect UYU to win the set.

@@samalton5837 I think you got some good points and I agree to some extent. He has a huge ego sure it’s undeniable but I don’t understand why everyone expect every player to behave the same. Having manners is one thing but behaviour differs with culture and the FGC features many different cultures. Punk likes to trash talk and boast about his skill so that makes him a bad person that deserves to lose? Many other great players trash talk, taunt, and are cocky yet they don’t get harassed like punk, even among the Japanese. Him calling himself the alpha and stuff like that might be a way to psychologically psych himself up. I also feel the double edged sword of calling himself the best is that he sets himself up for failure by putting too much unnecessary stress over him. Everybody gets salty when they lose, no one likes it, it’s not like he throws a tantrum or try to fight. From what I see he’s more playful than he’s an A hole, it’s not like he’s toxic.

If anyone wants NA to be better, it starts with the hunger and drive. We see glimpses of that everytime NA gets bodied in a crew battle. In all likelihood there currently is no definitive best in the world
