A beautiful morning walk in Punta Cana from Los Corales to El Contecito. Apart from having to dodge fallen hydro wires, the walk was very pleasant and every local citizen we encountered were very friendly.

I'll be in Vista Sol at the end of August, that was nice to see you're literally on the same street here lol, have you had Bella Napoli over there? Its about a 10 minute walk on the same street as the resort

I must agree - the resorts offer great value for the money, and the beach walks are amongst the best in the world. But for me, it’s the friendliness of the Dominican people that keeps me coming back.

Hi! I'm planning to go to Punta Cana next month and your videos are really helpful, thank you! Question, I see you walk into private properties without any restriction? Is that OK there? I mean, you just walk inside and that's it? And also please I want to know if there are public and easy access to the beach areas.

Hi - thank you for your feedback. All of my videos are shot either on the Melia resort grounds or public streets - to my recollection, I have never shot any video on any private property with the exception of commercial stores and restaurants. And yes, when in Los Corales or El Contecito, there are multiple pathways to the beach from the main roads.

Enjoyed your vlog. Found it to be most informative. We have previously stayed at all inclusive resorts but are strongly considering an AirB&B at Los Corales called Costa Atlantica. We are. curious about the daily cost of eating/drinking out. We also want to know what currency you take with you from Canada . We live in rural Prince Edward County and will fly out to Toronto. We presently have a reservation (November 7-28) at Excellence Punta Cana but are able to cancel this if we wish within the next few weeks. Appreciate your help.

In terms of location, Los Corales is great - near grocery stores and lots of restaurants. Cost of restaurants is not far off what you would expect to pay in Canada when you factor in the exchange. We always buy Dominican pesos at TD Bank a few weeks before departure for off resort spending. Just make sure to ask about fees and service charges that may be automatically added to your restaurant bill before ordering. Hope you have an amazing stay!
