Is it just me who found the Torrasque doing the talking (to Amon) and summoning to be cute? Amon as Archimonde is a fitting choice, though it makes me wonder who will take Kil'Jaeden's place.

We have finally know who is the Light Voice in the Reign of the Void, It's obviously Ouros the Last Xel'naga in the Void.

Its like they used some skeletal blue print to write a story and plugged in different variables or names and split off roles. Arthas is somehow both Mengsk and Kerrigan while Sylvanas is just Kerrigan. The one thing thats pretty 1 for 1 is that the Lich King is the Overmind while also being Archimonde for the cinematic. I thought the really cool thing about the original death of the Overmind cinematic vs say death of Archimonde where he is just completely surprised by the wisps, the Overmind actually tries to escape by opening a portal and whatever was left of him got sucked out into the void as like a final and ominous fuck you to him. Then Starcraft 2 literally retconned that by giving him some zombie body the zerg still flock to for reasons. I think what marks the original starcraft cinematic as being legendary is just really the complete and total lack of dialogue to explain anything and the only sounds are a heart beat followed by a volourous defiant scream from Tassadar as he sacrifices himself, nothing will ever top that, even if the graphics are outdated I think people will watch it for centuries just to see a masterpiece in story telling. I mean theres a reason why "Here comes the Gantrithor" became a popular meme, its not because its stupid funny but I think its because everyone deep down loves that cinematic from an emotional layer so much that its fun and enjoyable every time its brought up while the dialogue of "Here comes the Gantrithor!" counterpoised with "Oh Fuck!" In a simplified and crass manner encapsulates the entire idea behind the cinematic in a short time frame. In a nutshell this is what that cinematic that you loved really was. One thing I would love to hear is well, I'd assume while the other campaigns are going on the Overmind is still having video conference calls with the Cerebrates and Kerrigan, I wonder what he was saying when he's watching the Protoss fight themselves, then suddenly two of his cerebrates die and then this huge army is at his doorstep and he can barely muster any sort of defense. It would have been cool to hear the Overmind panicking maybe even telling Kerrigan to get her ass the Aiur to help him and shes says "Hmm? You remember when Zasz was killed and you were kinda...off line for a while, now Zyrzgar and Vorloth are both dead, and now, you know I can barely hear your thoughts in my head, like a faint whisper while before, your control over me was a constant deafening droning where I couldn't really think for myself, not really. You know what father!? What if I stay here and do nothing, I allow the Protoss to butcher you and I, Kerrigan, your humble daughter will rule over the Swarm? I mean I did warn you that the Dark Templar were a threat and you shouldn't have launched your invasion until I killed them all. Now they are suddenly at your doorstep and I'm just to get into a portal and likely get killed, helping you? You have proven to be a poor leader when the first species you come across that you aren't overtly superior to, are suddenly a massive threat to your entire existence? A being that is thousands of years old with unfathomable power is so desperate that it thinks a 26 year old terran girl with limited experience and powers can save him, against the might of the entire Protoss race? I'm sorry father but I will not die like some Zergling fodder just to give you three more seconds of life. You should accept your failure with a little bit of dignity, this whole desperation thing, the fear, while usually I enjoy it, coming from you, its rather just disappointing and annoying. You know the funny thing about this and I assume you assimilated an understanding of irony from my mind and the minds of other terrans, is that two weeks ago you were gloating that your victory was assured, there was no need for me to come to Aiur then, when the Protoss turned on themselves and now look where we are today? I feel so dumb, I saw + to stats for doing that in the next mission and I was surprised SC1 can actually do that - them I realised that defeating those guys is required to finish the mission so it is no tech magic.
