interesting analysis! thanks for your research! I don't think that creature is an owl though. It resembles a sort of bug. To me, it looks more like a moth coming out of a Pupa, hence the name perhaps.

Meh. I started watching this and was finding it weird that the meanings of the "exclusive footage" were so bland compared to the beautiful animation, wondering if this guy just kinda sucked in explaining things, until I stopped and decided to read the comments... I am disappointed, I don't think this is funny at all. This is such a delicate, sensitive piece of art, and I feel artworks like this have an effect on us that we are only able to appreciate if we are sincerely open to it, respectfully, almost with a sense of solemnity. And dismantling this effect of beauty for a lame joke is like spitting on it, like stepping on a beautiful flower. Someone poured their heart on this and it shouldn't be mocked like this.

Art is chiefly a personal experience. From personal experience comes a shared experience. Should this video really affect one's experience, one would begin to think how deep it was to begin with. Major works of art will always generate parodies. This is not only beneficial for discourse, it also solidifies what the art work is NOT. You should also notice how this video is not parodying the art itself but rather a review of it. To my mind, your being vexed with this parody is not coming from a particular dislike of its contents, but moreso the fact that it even is a parody. I believe you are unaware that parodies have a bona fide place in the world of art. Do a little Google search.

You are misleading people and disrespect the creator of this anime. He used 3 years for making this 3 minutes animation alone, except music. the reason he making this animation is that he wants to show how beautiful and unique feeling it could be by using the Japanese traditional style and without relying too much on digital.

couldn't agree with you much more. he's 'interpreting' the actions and symbolisms in a kind of mocking way but everything portrayed in this animation could've have a deep and beautiful meaning that the creator tries to convey. it's not even funny, it's solely disrespectful.
