I love that crate but I have 3 medium/large dogs (2x Australian cattle dogs, one quite small and one on the large size. I also have a border collie which is in between a medium and large type of breed…he’s not fully grown and is already so big). Unfortunately we have to go with metal crates because they’ll chew through plastic like it’s a blade of grass. I want to get them these crates that are metal panels (not wire) but they’re $1500 each (AUD) 😅the crate you got though is gorgeous. I’m a vet nurse here in Australia and can’t say that I’ve heard anything bad about wire crates apart from the people who have been keeping their dogs in too small of a crate but I’m sure there is probably some people having bad experiences. You’re doing so well, congratulations on your new puppy

a little late on this but first of all, congratulations on your new puppy. secondly, I'm really glad you got your dog a litter box. I bought an artificial grass potty tray for my dog and it was the best investment I ever made. I live in an apartment, on the 7th floor. It's just not realistic to think you are going to take your dog out at 3 AM if they need to go. it also allows for a lot more flexibility when I have to leave him home alone. I don't have to worry about being home at a certain hour in order to walk him. Lastly, it's much better for their health if they don't have to hold it in until you are able to take them outside.

My cats definitely do things for food 😂 I taught them to sit and wait to eat until I tell them they can. They also know tricks like lay down and sit pretty. but I only give treats for actual tricks!

the lick mats are also really good for bathing the dog.. Stick it to the side of the tub or sink while you bath thr dog

So happy for you! We’re getting a puppy this year, and I’m super excited!! We had one, but due to situations, we learnt that our son is allergic to some breeds, and the dog wasn’t the right breed for us. We’re getting a mini schnauzer, and I honestly hope her female is pregnant so I can get one from her next litter. Haha

I’m not even planning on a dog for years.. But my future dog is going to be a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, probably named Theseus. And I have stuff on a Amazon list, I would buy already. Plus I’m watching so many puppy hauls, etc.

Also, careful with the Kong. I’ve heard of dogs getting there tongues stuck! When you can, I’d recommend a toppl, there safer.

Gr8 video!!! You sound like me with all of the knowledge you have obtained abt dogs in the last few yrs. Our stories are VERY similar. Native NY’r living in NJ. Will be flying (on Delta) to pick up my Lagotto fur baby next week Thursday and I can’t wait. I’m going to look into the pellatized bedding because the breeder actually uses alfalfa pellets from TSC but it’s more expensive than what you actually purchased. I’ll find out when I go to the store. BTW, HB BD!!! Is your BD 9/26?

Im wondering if youve seen doggie lawn or fresh patch, or anything similar. It's real grass and you can get a subscription. I have used it ever since I got my puppy and strongly recommended it. It's roughly $40 per month for fresh grass, no real maintenance and no awful smell.
