Puppy Rescue Flight Part 2: New Owner Delivery

Part 2 of the rescue flight for Brownie and Ranger. I try to takeoff from Spirit of St Louis Airport (SUS) as quickly as possible because it was getting HOT in the plane and didn't want the dogs to suffer. A big thank you to the controller at Springfield Approach for the nice shout out and being okay with losing the frequency for a bit!
I was (and know some of you are) very sad to find out that one of the few times I've been filming and flying with Jaime controlling me, the camera died and I wasn't able to capture it. :(
Unfortunately how it goes in the filming and flying world. I'm sure it won't be the last time!
It was very rewarding to hand Brownie and Ranger over to their new family at Chicago Executive Airport (PWK). Thank you to the other pilots and support people that helped make this rescue happen. Thank you to Eduard for all you do with Bark4Compassion, Pilots n Paws and the other organizations that are out there helping every day!

I'm a grown-ass man and can admit that my eyes got watery when I saw the pups with the new owners then heard that signature waived all your fees. I suppose there is still some faith in humanity - great work Kevin and Jamie

Thanks for saving the pups! We have had 2 dogs that have shown up at our property that were dumped. We give them a great home. Best dogs ever. Who dumps a dog? Thanks again.

The same type of people that dump a litter of kittens. Life has no meaning to them. I've spent tens of thousands of dollars on vet bills for both dogs and cats. I'd never think about abandoning one, even if it means I go without something. Burger works instead of steak. Kevin, there are absorbent pads that when taped to the crate plastic pan, keep the animals from sliding around and catch any liquids that may occur. The pups handled the flight like a champ.

Awesome job helping the dogs. I’m a dog owner and I treat my “April” like a queen. Best thing that’s happened to me is to have a special dog in my life. It’s so rewarding and she gives me so much love and joy.

Yo Kevin! This is so cool of you! I just recently found your channel and have been binge watching recently. I helped restore a Mooney 201J back in 2012 and some of my best memories learning how to fly. Side note- My mom was a FA for TWA for 19 years until AA bought them out and was laid off and found another almost 19 years with a private company over here in CA at KVNY. When I was in HS and shortly after she did a lot of work rescuing Pit Bulls and the Bully Breeds that got a lot of bad wrap out here in LA and High Desert area including Palmdale and Cal City. The pilots flying these rescues are incredible. Much respect sir and love the channel. Cheers!

Brownie looks like my Dutch, rescued from Highlands County Florida. He was about 9 months old then, lived a good life to 16. Currently have a Black Mouth Cur ? Lab ? rescued from the same place at about 10 months. He is a very active 4 now. Had 2 Irish Setters and later Dutch that loved flying to a breakfast or lunch in my warrior. My warrior is long gone also made multiple OSH trips as well as Miggs and one Midway from the Pittsburgh area. Thanks for what you do.

Just got a chance to see the 2 puppy flights. Great job Kevin! I know 1st hand the "gotta get these pups cooled off" and other almost-anxiety about their welfare. I drive rescue pups for an organization, and helping those critters on to their new forever homes is very fulfilling indeed. I'm working on my private pilot certificate, and looking forward to being able to get some airborne pups on their way!

We've had dogs and cats all our lives me & the wife but unfortunately I just can't talk my wife into them anymore, well so far anyway, because she wants to travel and I understand her feelings but we can't travel forever....

Given all the trouble you have had with GoPro's, maybe you should put two of them on the ceiling! Odds are one of them will work and if you get both you can post a stereo vlog! 😂 As the owner of two dogs, one a rescued Border Collie, thank you for making the trip and sharing it with us!
