This year, we've had the fortune of testing out the all-new Ford Mustang GT and Ecoboost. Both features 6 speed manual transmissions and the performance package (Links to those videos can be found below). Today's video serves to go further in-depth with the sound of the GT in a new video segment I'm calling "Pure Sound". This example isn't stock, featuring Kooks Long Tube headers, a Ford Racing Exhaust by Borla and more! As the name suggests, this video focuses entirely on sound, demonstrating this incredible sounding exhaust setup in a variety of ways from different camera angles, static revs and inboard driving shots to acceleration, GoPro bumper shots and more. +Eric Heart Yes it's an auto, that's why I said it needs a shift kit. A shift kit will raise the pressure in the transmission valve body to make the shifts firm and fast.

+kwk1 Sport mode wasn't used during filming. The shifting is much more aggressive in sport mode. Kyle just didn't think to flip the switch before filming.

+krazyk86cu Sport mode probably helps, but it would be electronic. A real shift kit has parts installed right in the valve body, it is an actual hardware upgrade. But yeah, I'm just being picky.

+mainlymusicman Yes, that's why this is called "pure sound". Each set of clips is at a different angle/distance from the car with different variations of revs. I'm trying to give people the best idea of what this sounds like without being there in person. The first clips are right behind it (about 5 feet away) the second is pointed right at the pipes about 2 feet away, and the third wide shot is about 20 feet away. This is the best "in depth" look at this type of setup on youtube. That's my goal.

Unless you're tracking, which 99.9999% of drivers don't do, and if you're drag racing, you're better off with an Automatic and it's not even a skill argument at this point. otherwise, It's a matter of personal choice.

Hello Kyle, I finally found the perfect exhaust system for my mustang! I just have 3 questions. Is this a ford racing by borla sport catback system or just the axleback? Are the kooks longtube headers off road headers, or catted headers? Last but not least, is the measuring of the longtube headers 1-7/8in. or 1-3/4in.? Kyle, great video! Amazing to see how far your channel has come in the past years that I've been subscribed to it (which would be since 2010)! Do you plan on finding a 2016 Corvette Z06 with the 8 Speed Automatic to review and road test? What cars will be coming up next?
