I love sarongs and have used them for years and years. The only down side, is if you are Tall ( 5'11", like I am and Curvy not fat but voluptuous) , you are limited to how you can wear them unless you pay more for something custom. To wear some of these styles it takes me 2 sarongs together to get the look. So, if you are petite or skinny, short in stature... no problem! If you are tall you are going to pay a LOT more for the comfort of these styles!!

Well done & edited video. I wish there were some views of larger women wearing these though.

Sarongs made out of light materials are draped as gracefully as those of an ancient Goddess. You could also go with a sari length, which is 47" wide and 6 yards long. (Sometimes used for a heavier figure also). Wraps can be tied in a multitude of ways, making everything from off-the-shoulder gowns to elegant tops. Google for the different ways to wear a Sarong or Pareo. Or just enjoy my posts.

This would be so great if you go swimming in public quite often. What someone needs to do (or have they???) is come out with a thicker material that could convert like this for everyday, business, and "dressy-casual" wear!

Would it would be weird to wear something like this to school? I'm tired of the same high low dresses, regular skirts everyone wears. I'm going for a more neutral colors, not beachy.

I think that the sizes for the larger pareo can be adapted to twice the circumference of the widest part of the body, you can get beautiful fabrics that don't even need to be hemmed too. T-shirt material (the jersey kind) is great. Some movies set in Hawaii have larger women wearing pareos too. A quick google search should have at least a few images. Pareos are great for all shapes and sizes! I have a huge shawl/scarf that I use.

+Pamela Pietersz it's a transexual, french polynesia is a lot more used to this than most other country I've visited, they are more open minded :) They call them "réré" pronounced "lélé" afaik.
