teary time at the end, we hear yelling. these could be quite litterly every single person we have killed, and they are not keen on seeing him here, with one being louder than the others. rather than "SIMON!" it's just.. "Simon." this could be one of the more..brutal deaths, as for the figure? we can see that this is most likely Simon. he actually..might be enjoying it..seeing his work after his death brings him some sort of joy. we can tell this may be Simon as, he's not as beat up. he's not..hurt. or some shadow figure with a mask. it's just some adverage joe that looks like he likes to read. but he's locked behind something. this could either be before or after the guy from the first teaser tells him he's dead and is going to be spending the after life there. I feel like Simon wouldn't take lightly to hearing he's trapped thee, so most likely before. after he's told about this..he'd probably be mad. or he might be glad. the truth is.. I do not know.

Ok so I have a few theories about the lore of the mod, hear me out: -From the first teaser at the end it’s very telling Simon has been around for a good while when the voice says “After a century of unjustified immortality” this means he probably did a bit of black magic or something in his time while being alive or made some sort of deal with some supernatural entity to being immortal so I feel some witchcraft type stuff might be in here -We don’t know exactly how old he is or anything but I think based on some of the polo’s styles that may hint to us of how long he’s been alive/the time this lord takes place and let me explain In teaser one we are introduced to one of the beats and that is the waitress bumping her head up and down, her style kinda gives off either some 1950’s or 1980’s vibes but I’m kinda leaning towards 1980’s as the some of the polos don’t give the 1950’s much -with that being said purgatory’s basement possibly takes place within the time lines of 1970s-1980s -and lastly with the drama mask polos they could be either the people Simon hurt or just the entity’s they inhabit purgatory’s basement

I'm starting to think Simon is the guy with the shortness of breath in trailer 1, because the guy with the shortness of breath has a hairstyle that looks very much like Simon's messy hairstyle. In addition, the person Nancy (the screaming woman) is looking at in this trailer may also be Simon, because the shadow's hairstyle is as messy as Simon's. Also, who are the three masked men in this trailer? Either they are members of Purgatorys Basement or they are some kind of entity. All in all, this would be a great mod because it would leave us with a lot of mysteries

I can actually explain this, the sad masked girl's sound is heavily based on the classic circus sound and therefore is slightly off-tune on purpose to add to the creep factor! Hope this helped!

A few things I noticed: 1. In 0:37, Ankka's art style, she looks like Dave from orin ayo but a female. (And thankfully not fanservice looking 💀💀💀) 2. In 0:47, the masked guy in the middle reminds me of both dave from orin ayo again and Dr. Aler from sepbox. Let's hope this horror mod will be better than the express. 🤞

As my fellow dev team members and some other person said before me, no, Splat did not give up on Chiller. He transferred ownership to someone else as Splat had too many projects to handle. That and he just didn't want to work on it anymore. Purgatory's basement will hopefully fuel your cravings for a horror based mod. If not uh- sorry not sorry
