Purple blushes are a blessing for deeper skin tones✨

I have a genuine question. Why did Mikaela add a white base at all? Like why would you do that when it's MUCH better and more inclusive without it?! I just genuinely don't understand

@WhitneyDahlin4 ай бұрын
@@mrstanaka2211😂 I didn't even think about that you're not wrong! Who is she making this blush for? Clowns?! 🤡 Because you do have to be really fair to wear this. And I am a really fair person I have very cool toned light skin. And jewel tones do not look good on me. Period. It's always really frustrating but I look absolutely terrible and washed out by any type of jewel tone. It just doesn't look good on me unfortunately, and in my personal opinion I don't think they look as good on women with warm toned fair skin either. Jewel tones look the BEST and most beautiful on women with medium to dark skin though 😍 like they genuinely look so drop dead gorgeous. And it's tricked me into buying dresses I look absolutely terrible in because the model online was medium to dark skin and the dress just looks so fantastic on her! I don't know what she was thinking putting this out.

@@WhitneyDahlin truly! i don’t think this type of purple would suit anyone, it’s way to purple. i think it’s have to have more pink for it to actually work, i think anyone of any skin type would look superrr ashy

I am not a deep skin tone girly at all but i stumbled onto your page one day and for some reason never left. Even if the makeup you recommended wouldn’t necessarily work on my skin because i am too light I don’t really care! I really enjoy seeing the kind of makeup would suit different skin tones ❤

Came here for the gorgeous looks, stayed for the constant fight for inclusivity. Even though I don't wear darker shades, I want people with deeper skin tones to have just as many options as me, and unless we keep screaming for inclusivity, they'll continue to be massively underrepresented.

@strugglebus3661 Same! I have about the same skin tone as Monica, maybe a little bit lighter. My best friend is pale as can be, and she has a hard time finding good makeup shades too. Like even the lightest shade in a brand could show up as dark/mismatched on her skin. Her skin is also very dry, and she finds lighter shade foundations are somehow drying on her skin. This is why I love Fenty Beauty. They cater to the palest to the darkest of skin tones, and the formula is still awesome.

I think mikayla was just trynna go for a pastel-y lilac tone, but it's just obviously not gonna work with a lot of skin tones, she could've made one lilac-y tone for fair skin tones and then one without a white base for darker skin tones It's kinda sad she criticizes brands for not being inclusive and then launches a "fair skin only" blush 😅

I think a lot of those are also very metallic/shiny, which looks great on some people with deep skin, but not if you are very warm or soft or olive. If you have more brown golden hues than a more matte mauve or warm plum purple could be beautiful. Then again I don’t see the cool undertones in you that you see

I feel like people don't talk about AboutFace much. I don't have anything from it and I only knew it because I love Halsey. But I have heard so many influencers and all talk so good about the brand products when they use it and yet, it's not everywhere like Rare beauty, Fenty and all. Now, I understand why Fenty is famous. It's been there for a good amount of time but I mean Rare Beauty is pretty new. And there are tons of brands and they usually don't have a lot of amazing products. But they are still pretty famous. I just wanna know why is that? Is it because AboutFace maybe do not have a lot of good products but only some. Or maybe they are not good at advertising? What is it?
