i’m a saxophonist so i can explain the saxophone video a lil bit - putting an object (the traffic cone) in the bell of a saxophone allows the instrument to hit notes lower than its normal range! it also changes the tone a little bit, like when you use a mute in a brass instrument. it probably also helped with the squeaky-sounding notes, as those can be hard to control consistently like the guy in the video did
