Thanks for watching! It seems pretty sturdy and the material is thicker than a pool float. But I don't know that I'd want to float down a river on it. I'm pretty sure the instructions say that it needs to be anchored. I can tell you that the wind really catches it and moves it around. :)

Hello - good question. I guess it depends on the dog. Our Great Dane would not do well on it - she's nearly 150# with sharp toenails, and doesn't sit still. The material is thick, but not as thick as a watersports tube.

@@PurpleCollarLife well my pitbull is about half the size of a great dane and my brother is a dog groomer so he can file the nails before we go.. fingers crossed it doesnt pop🤞🏼

Hi Casey - thanks for chiming in. A few thoughts back: 1. the knot on both ends of the anchor line came from the factory tied and taped over. I don't believe they intend you to untape the ends and tie the knots over. But in hindsight, that's probably a good suggestion considering the end result. 2. You're right. I estimated that anchor weight and have no idea the actual weight. It was filled to the level you can see with sand and small stones. I just estimated based on the fact that it felt heavier than a 40# back of salt and a 40# bag of dog food, but not as heavy as 80# of Quikrete. Good point that I don't know the actual weight. 3. I tried two of the exact same sandbag anchors you used but still seem to drift a lot in the ocean current. Then I used my 18-in screw anchor and that seems to hold really well but unfortunately can't use it in deep water
