Of course ghostwriters are paid an upfront rate for their lyrical content but aren't credited writers.The point is there's no way to prove he used a ghostwriter for some of his best verses unless he or Quentin confesses. But some rappers like Pusha T, Meek Mill, Kendrick Lamar, and Big Krit & others didn't appreciate finding out that Drake the biggest Hip Hop star in the world uses ghostwriters.

What I love about this is that Push probably had the Adonis tidbit but chose not to release it here. Instead he teases with a “you don’t write your own songs.” Drake takes the bait, and then Push delivers the kill shot. It’s 2022 and I don’t think Drake has fully recovered from it.
