Pusha is Smart for Sampling Hov’s The Prelude
@wilberts.cubero36294 жыл бұрын
@@unknownmember8807 He means the first verse. It's an interpolation of Jay-Z's The Prelude... "The game's fucked up, niggas beats is banging, nigga your hooks did it, the lyrics didn't..."

I remember when this shit dropped and hordes of bitchy little Drake fans were screeching "Oh hell no Pusha just signed his own execution! Drake's response is gonna bury this man alive!" Boy did that end up going wrong.

Little did they know he already lost when Infrared was released. Releasing Duppy just made sure the public knew Drake lost. Because without Duppy we have no Story of Adidon.
@jaleelkhaleeq2 жыл бұрын
Drake was honestly gonna take the W if story of adidon didn’t come and Pusha was taking a while to drop the response while drake came back literally 12 hours after this dropped

No Vaseline is a harder diss than Hit em Up... Ice cube was more gangsta from beginning to the end of that song whereas Hit em Up was only great bcuz of Tupac and not for The Outlawz cuz they were weak on that shit.

Pusha T could literally release this song today and it would be a very decent diss track because it still hits the target and addresses many of the issues Drake is on trial for. That’s insane.

The “how could you ever write these wrongs when you don’t even write your songs” it’s so crazy when besides the obvious meaning but it’s also a double reference to Kendrick’s poetic justice because that’s how drake ends his verse on that song idk if I’m stupid for just realizing this in 2023 but that is blowing my mind

What I love about this is that Push probably had the Adonis tidbit but chose not to release it here. Instead he teases with a “you don’t write your own songs.” Drake takes the bait, and then Push delivers the kill shot. It’s 2022 and I don’t think Drake has fully recovered from it.
